After graduating from Meade River High School in Atqasuk, AK in 1983 as the valedictorian and president of a class of one (literally), I attended college at both Ricks College (Idaho) and Brigham Young University (Utah). I worked full time while attending BYU and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management - Information Systems. I augmented my undergraduate education with an MBA from BYU’s Marriott School and graduated with distinction as a Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society inductee.

I’ve worked professionally at WordPerfect, Novell, EDS (Detroit, MI), and the Bank of American Fork. I joined the bank in 1997 to develop and implement electronic banking strategy. Together, Dale Gunther (president and CEO), Paul Gunther (board chairman), and the employees of the bank have set high standards for both professional and personal performance. We are a well-respected, privately and closely held, $525MM Utah bank known for exceptional service, customer loyalty, and almost 90 years of management excellence and integrity. I am privileged to have opportunity to work with and learn from many talented and outstanding professionals.

I spent most of my adolescent life in Washington State, but moved with my family to Alaska when I was sixteen. I met Mary Gunther at BYU and we married in April of 1989. We have five children - four boys and one girl.
